The STEP consultation will ask stakeholders about the new framework that the Standard team and the whole Fairtrade system are proposing to simplify, consolidate, and remove duplications in its standards.

Fairtrade is seeking stakeholder feedback on a proposal to increase transparency in Fairtrade supply chains by making specific data about Fairtrade-certified organisations and products available to all organisations within the same supply chain.

This consultation aims to establish a formal mechanism for collecting, analysing and responding to stakeholder input on the proposed revision to the Fairtrade Premium for cane sugar. The proposals are based on calculations derived from observations of changes in selected macroeconomic indicators, as well as discussions held by the project team.
