This review supported the development of Fairtrade’s Gender Equality and Empowerment Framework, which now informs policy integration across all product categories.

Key outputs include:

• New gender analysis tools for producer organizations.
• Mandatory inclusion of gender champions at cooperative level.
• Expanded access to financial training programs for women farmers.

The framework entered implementation in early 2026, following strong support from Latin America and West Africa networks.
